I have often heard that you can tell the personality of a person by the way they conduct themselves on the tennis court. So here are a few of my thoughts on that and Andre Agassi’s quote.

Be Consistent:

If you can learn to play a steady consistent tennis game you have a good chance of being in every point.

If you can be consistent in your life’s efforts along with a little luck, then you have a chance to get through the highs and lows that daily life presents to us.

Hold Serve:

We all know that all points begin with a serve. Therefore, it is probably the most important shot in a tennis point. A point doesn’t begin without a serve. I believe we should all try and work on serving others less fortunate than us in life.

If we all just spent some time doing this, I believe our world would be a better and more compassionate place. Practicing our service in tennis and life are crucial to our overall success in both.

Fault:

We all have faults. Trying to correct them is the only way we can improve.

Break:

Everyone has bad and lucky breaks in life. We can certainly learn from bad breaks by trying to figure out how to avoid them the next time the possibility occurs.

The benefit of good breaks can really help us get through a tough match and life’s challenges.

Advantage:

If we are lucky enough to hold an advantage then we can hopefully capitalize on it. We only get so many chances in a tight tennis match just like in our toughest life challenges to have an advantage.

If we get the opportunity, we hope that our hard work and perseverance will take that advantage and help us break through to a winning moment.

LOVE:

The most important of all. We all start off a tennis match at love. We must remember that.
