They know your name, answer your questions, help connect you with trainers and the BTTC community, and are often the first friendly faces you see when you walk through the door.
They also hear a lot.
Lobby conversations. Schedule questions. Forgotten check-ins. Compliments. Concerns. The occasional complaint. Probably a few things you didn’t realize they could hear from behind that desk.
This month, we’re turning the spotlight on the people who handle it all with patience, humor, and a smile. So as you get to know them a little better, consider this your friendly reminder: show your front desk team some extra love. They do a lot to keep BTTC running smoothly—and they make all of our lives a little easier.
KAM
At BTTC: Almost 3 years!
Why BTTC: For Kam, it’s the relationships. She loves getting to chat and catch up with the members she sees regularly. “It makes my day when a member I can trust to be around during my shift walks through the doors and I get to see a friendly face!”
What’s your favorite way to move?
Dancing! Kam has been on the dance floor since she was three years old. When she’s not behind the BTTC desk, she teaches dance at Evolution Dance Co.
What’s something members might not know about you?
Kam recently graduated from WWU with a degree in Spanish and Linguistics! Her request: ¡Por favor, háblame en español si puedes!
What are you currently learning or practicing?
Watercolor painting! Kam recently picked it up as a creative outlet and loves that it’s equal parts challenging and relaxing.
Bonus BTTC claim to fame: If you’ve gotten an event shirt hot off the press, there’s a good chance Kam was behind it! Since the BTTC T-Shirt Bar began last year, she’s become our resident t-shirt press extraordinaire, pressing the HEAT at events like the Amazing Race and Anniversary Party.
